![]() ![]() My reaction was a positive one, but many mother’s were not as pleased. ![]() It also helped that the concept of the commercial was easy to grasp. ![]() The simple graphics and copy only added to my admiration for the spot. My reaction to the commercial was immediate laughter and hate for whomever came up with the cute and hilarious idea first. It gives a horrific, but comedic twist on a cliché family moment. The word play encourages laughter while still placing a lasting image in the consumer’s head of how tasty the new pop-tart will be. It lends entertainment and portrays how irresistible the new flavor of pop-tart is. This commercial is not only comedic but it’s cute as well. Helpless, Papa Peanut Butter yells “NO!” and soon to follow, in a comedic a climactic ending, Mama Jelly says “Oh Jammit!”Īfter this the commercial closes with its popular slogan “Crazy Good!” and shows the nurse taking a bite out of baby pop-tart PB&J. We can guess what comes next as she slides her tongue across her lips and rubs her hands together, and baby Pop-Tart’s pacifier pops out of its mouth in horror. In the midst of the two complimenting one another, the nurse walks up to the new PB&J baby pop-tart and she announces that it is feeding time, with a mischievous grin on her face. Papa Peanut Butter tells Mama Jelly that the newborn has her jelly and Mama Jelly tells Papa Peanut Butter that the newborn has his peanut butter. As Papa Peanut Butter and Mama Jelly look at their baby in the maternity ward they are romantically complimenting one another for their contributions to their newborn. Peanut Butter is the father and Jelly (strawberry jam) is the mother. In the commercial, Peanut Butter and Jelly have just given birth to their mixed Pop-Tart baby. This particular commercial I was watching was fairly new for Pop-Tarts new product PB&J. I must admit I am a huge fan of the Pop-Tart “Crazy Good” commercials. In the midst of all the annoying, repetitive commercials I came across the cutest and funniest Pop-Tart commercial. I was watching television the other day, and the advertising junkie in me was paying more attention to the commercials rather than the movie I was supposed to be watching. ![]()
